Colton grew up just 20 minutes away from FBC Munday in Haskell, Texas. This is where he lived his entire life, and eventually graduated from High School. After graduating in 2017, Colton attended Vernon College, where he graduated with an Associates in Science in 2020. He then spent two years in San Angelo where he studied History and Education at Angelo State University. It was also in San Angelo where he would get his first shot at being a youth pastor, as he served as the interim for The Heights Baptist Church for 6 months, before being called to FBC Munday full time in May of 2022. 

   Colton did not start taking his faith seriously until he was challenged by several key leaders in his life to be better. They saw through his superficial faith, and called him to be a leader. A leader in several ministries, a leader in his friend groups, and a leader in his family and community. More importantly than being a leader, they called him to be a faithful follow of King Jesus. Through these tough leaders and their willingness to allow him to serve in leadership, Colton began to develop a heart to be the same kind of leader for other young people. He has a heart to see people know King Jesus, to have their lives transformed by him, to see them become disciple makers, and to see them become leaders.

   When Colton isn't hanging out with teenagers, he is likely watching his Dallas Cowboys, reading about his Dallas Cowboys, or mourning his Dallas Cowboys. He also loves the Texas Longhorns, the Dallas Mavericks, and the WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS Texas Rangers. When he isn't watching any of the above teams, he is enjoying some games he can still play without blowing his ACL again, by gaming with his buddies online.
