First Baptist Church in Munday is a small congregation of exceptional people. We serve a community of roughly 1,300 people in Knox County, in a rural agrarian part of the Rolling Plains of Texas. First Baptist Church was founded in 1892 and the community in 1893. From our very beginning, FBC has played a role in the lives and future of our community. Our members are local people who believe in family, hard work and God.
Cotton continues to be a significant component of the local economy. While our community and congregation may be small our hearts are large. We focus on the simple things in life... Our faith, families, and community.
Mission Statement
As a body of Christ, we are to glorify God by proclaiming the Gospel through the leadership of the Holy Spirit; teaching by word and example, making disciples of Christ, promoting worship and fellowship, and loving unconditionally.
